Click here to read about day 5 of our Very Merrytime Western Caribbean cruise on the Disney Magic. It was the day that we dreaded: disembarkation. Boo! Getting to Miami & Day 1 – Embarkation: Five-Night Very Merrytime Western Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic

To say that I was ecstatic with joy to board our JetBlue flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on December 22, 2017, is an understatement. In two days, we would be back on a Disney cruise ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since we knew what it was like to cruise with Disney, the anticipation of our trip was HUGE! But, let me back up a little bit…we first cruised with Disney on the Dream on December 26, 2016. Within a week of our return, I had booked our next cruise because we had such a fantastic time. To have to wait almost a full year was excruciating (so, we decided to travel to Orlando for a week at Walt Disney World in March 2017 – Disney withdrawal: it’s a thing, and the only remedy is to see Mickey!)

Four Seasons: Family-Friendly Luxury in Miami

Prior to our five-night Very Merrytime Cruise on the Disney Magic in December 2017, my family stayed for two nights at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. It is an easy-to-find hotel, located in downtown Miami on Brickell Avenue in an area that is filled with high-rise buildings. There are a lot of hotels, businesses, embassies, restaurants, and residential condos in the area.

Disney for Dummies (a.k.a. Frazzled Parents)

I’m a world traveler. So, why have I been to Walt Disney World four times in the last three years??? Simple answer: I have the most highly energetic, loud, insane, maniacal seven-year old boy on this planet, so what better place on earth is there for a fantastic family vacation? Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, it’s crowded. And, yes, it (both the Disney parks and my son) completely exhausts you. But, as trite as it may sound, it truly is a magical place…you really will feel like a kid again, and your kid(s) will declare that you must book a return trip to the park stat (meaning, you better be planning your next trip literally right after you unlock your front door when you return back home).
