Day 6 – Day at Sea: Seven-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Fantasy

Finally โ€“ another day at sea! Days at sea are the epitome of what Disney Cruise Line is all about. You can do as much or as little as you want, with no set schedule, if you desire. After two straight days in ports, I was ready for a relatively lazy dayโ€ฆ I started my lazy day by gathering various breakfast items from both Cabanas and the Concierge lounge and bringing the food back to our stateroom to eat. Then, I went to the gym, and, afterwards grabbed some lunch to eat in the stateroom (snacks from the Concierge lounge and a sandwich from Floโ€™s Cafรฉ). (Yes, if you havenโ€™t figured it out by now, Disney cruises are all about EATING!)

Day 4 – British Virgin Islands & Pirate Night: Seven-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Fantasy

This was the day that I had been waiting for since I booked this cruise: our first visit to the British Virgin Islands, specifically the Baths of Virgin Gorda. We were docked in Tortola, the first cruise ship to return to the British Virgin Islands since Hurricanes Irma and Maria, which hit a year prior to our arrival. I was hoping that our shore excursion to the neighboring island of Virgin Gorda would be the highlight of our trip (spoiler alert: it was!).

Day 3 – Day at Sea: Seven-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Fantasy

Two straight days at sea! Like our first day at sea, I once again was going back and forth between Cabanaโ€™s, our stateroom, and the Concierge Lounge to create our own in-room breakfast buffet. And, once again, we ate while watching repeats of Mickey Mouse Shorts (and this pattern would repeat itself virtually every day of our cruise).

Getting to Orlando/Port Canaveral & Day 1 – Embarkation: Seven-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Fantasy

Another year, another Disney cruise โ€“ thatโ€™s what I like to say! It was August 23, 2018, and time for my family of three to board our JetBlue flight to Orlando, Florida. Two days later, we would be back in heaven, boarding the Disney Fantasy, our third Disney cruise in less than three years.

The Perks of Sailing Concierge Level on Disney Cruise Line

I have sailed on all five Disney ships and have been very fortunate to have sailed in a Concierge level one-bedroom suite each time. In fact, after sailing Concierge the first time on the Disney Dream, I realized that there was no way I would want to be in a standard stateroom, especially with a rambunctious six-year-old in tow. Itโ€™s like flying first class: if you do it once, you never want to go back to coach!
