Getting to Miami & Day 1 – Embarkation: Five-Night Very Merrytime Western Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic
To say that I was ecstatic with joy to board our JetBlue flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on December 22, 2017, is an understatement. In two days, we would be back on a Disney cruise ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since we knew what it was like to cruise with Disney, the anticipation of our trip was HUGE! But, let me back up a little bit…we first cruised with Disney on the Dream on December 26, 2016. Within a week of our return, I had booked our next cruise because we had such a fantastic time. To have to wait almost a full year was excruciating (so, we decided to travel to Orlando for a week at Walt Disney World in March 2017 – Disney withdrawal: it’s a thing, and the only remedy is to see Mickey!)
Day 2 – Christmas Day at Sea: Five-Night Very Merrytime Western Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic
Our first day at sea was Christmas Day, and needless to say, my son was very excited to see Santa bright and early that morning. But, first, I wanted to enjoy the sunrise over Cuba, which we were passing on our way to Cozumel. Here was the view from our stateroom’s verandah
The Perks of Sailing Concierge Level on Disney Cruise Line
I have sailed on all five Disney ships and have been very fortunate to have sailed in a Concierge level one-bedroom suite each time. In fact, after sailing Concierge the first time on the Disney Dream, I realized that there was no way I would want to be in a standard stateroom, especially with a rambunctious six-year-old in tow. It’s like flying first class: if you do it once, you never want to go back to coach!
