Another year, another Disney cruise – that’s what I like to say! It was August 23, 2018, and time for my family of three to board our JetBlue flight to Orlando, Florida. Two days later, we would be back in heaven, boarding the Disney Fantasy, our third Disney cruise in less than three years.
Like many other women entering the later part of their 30’s, I found myself drawn to running. The pounding of my feet, the breeze in my face, my favorite tunes blasting in my ears…all did something to clear this foggy brain of mine. The stress just seemed to melt away as the miles ticked on.
The Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is located in the Disney Springs area and is closest to Epcot (of all four Walt Disney World Parks). We stayed at this hotel for the fourth time in August 2018, prior to our seven-night Eastern Caribbean Disney Cruise. The Four Seasons Orlando is absolutely my favorite hotel ever! This was my fourth visit to the island of St. Thomas, although it was my first time via a Disney Cruise. For two of my previous visits, my family took cruise ship-sponsored tours to St. John’s Trunk Bay, similar to this tour offered by Disney Cruise Line. If you love to snorkel, this is a great tour. Trunk Bay is pretty spectacular. You don’t need to swim far to get to the reef from the beautiful beach. I even remember seeing a huge sting ray swim beneath me as I was swimming to the reef. During one of my other visits to St. Thomas, we did the famous (infamous?) Kon Tiki party boat tour (similar to this tour offered by Disney Cruise Line but without the beach stop). It was quite the booze cruise, with plenty of rum punch flowing and crazy dancing on the boat (limbo, anyone?)!
I was super-excited to be visiting Virgin Gorda for our Disney Cruise Line (DCL) "Port Adventure" during our day on the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). One of the primary reasons I booked an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Disney Fantasy was to have the opportunity to visit the Baths, a very unique destination in the world. The Baths are located on Virgin Gorda, which is another island that comprises the BVI.
