For our honeymoon, we wanted to go somewhere adventurous but safe, exotic but easy to get to, luxurious but relatively affordable. Costa Rica ticked all the boxes. We were a bit nervous about going in early November during the rainy season, but we got lucky, and it only rained on our two driving days and once at night. The country is filled with surprises - the good kind you actually want while you’re traveling.
When you disembark from a Disney cruise, life is sad – very, very sad. But, when you extend your vacation by one night, you can gently help ease yourself back into the real world… I booked the Waldorf Astoria for a one-night stay after our seven-night Eastern Caribbean Disney cruise because our flight back home was the day after disembarkation. Rather than stay at an Orlando airport hotel, we wanted to check this place out. We were in for a treat!
Another year, another Disney cruise – that’s what I like to say! It was August 23, 2018, and time for my family of three to board our JetBlue flight to Orlando, Florida. Two days later, we would be back in heaven, boarding the Disney Fantasy, our third Disney cruise in less than three years.
The Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is located in the Disney Springs area and is closest to Epcot (of all four Walt Disney World Parks). We stayed at this hotel for the fourth time in August 2018, prior to our seven-night Eastern Caribbean Disney Cruise. The Four Seasons Orlando is absolutely my favorite hotel ever! One of the most popular cruise destinations in the world is Nassau, Bahamas. I visited this cheery and sunny port for the first time in the summer of 1995 (during my college years!) with my parents, sister, and group of family and friends on a four-night Carnival cruise that originated out of Port Canaveral. We went on a ship-sponsored excursion to the Blue Lagoon Island (similar to Disney Cruise Line’s Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day). I really enjoyed the excursion to this idyllic island.
